Developing a talent at an older age
This article got me thinking. http://thetalentcode.com/2014/08/27/24-rules-for-becoming-an-adult-prodigy/

What talent could I become great at? Coming up with boring threads on forums I have already nailed!

Didn't Bobby George take up darts well late. Steve Way took up running at 33 and 17stone and just ran in the commonwealth games. Bob Fisher in his 50's decided to become the best free throw basketball player in the world and now holds multiple world records.

Think it boils down to having the time and dedication to practice. Most people have lives.

Colonel Sanders opened his first KFC restaurant aged 65. He did alright for himself!

Before that he used to scrape a living as a Rolf Harris impersonator. He used the chickens in a very different way then but they were still 'Finger Lickin' Good'

He was obviously just a big chicken before that.

When I get older I'm going to turn to politics for which I have an obvious, albeit untapped, talent.

1500 people were right then. The only way a chicken burger would take off would be if you lobbed at at someone.

At the ripe old age of 50 I took a creative writing course, and thoroughly enjoy it.

I am now semi-retired, at the ripe old age of 58 and spend 2 or 3 hours a day writing. I have not sought to publish any of my short stories or Poems but have derived enormous pleasure from getting my thoughts and ideas down on paper, so to speak. I have shared them with family and friends who generally think they suck!

My latest project which has taken the better part of 18 months is a novel based on the life of a middle aged divorcee West Ham fan who strikes it rich in an unusual way. I am one third into it and my inspiration comes and goes as does my creativity. I am attempting to write 1000 words each day and have managed that for the past 2 weeks. My god it takes discipline.

When it's published I'll let WHO know and you can all rush out and buy it.

Make it an e-book Banjo, then we don't have to rush out anywhere to not buy it, we can not buy it from the comfort of our own homes.

I mean, buy it.

You sometimes hear of people coming to ACTING late in life.
There is always a call in the movies for older gentlemen with ravaged lived in faces like an old boot that hint at a life of hard living , neglect and abuse.
When can you start?

Banjo take heed of the views of your family and friends especially if you count the 2-3 hours a day as posting stuff up on here

Mentor you've definitely shown you have an aptitude for politics, you're well on the way to being classified as a grade A cunt.

Re: Developing a talent at an older age
Not really on topic but I wonder when your mindset transitions from not wanting to make an issue or excuse about your advancing years to boasting about it as in the sense of "I'm 76 you know and still have all my own teeth".
